Stoke Green is a 1930’s Queenslander that had previously undergone some small renovations before being transformed into a modern-day family home to suit the changing needs of its current family.

The original home was packed full of charming features including pressed metal ceilings, stained glass windows and doors and two original timber fireplaces which were restored during the renovation. grayHAUS raised the home and installed new structural steel supports to allow a completely new ground floor design to be built. This included three new bedrooms, two bathrooms plus a powder room, a new laundry with enviable storage, a second kitchen, and a new living/games room that flows out to the new built in BBQ.

The outdoor areas were also given a refresh with over 350m2 of French pattern Travertine laid to the front entry, side pathways and rear entertaining areas. A new detached garage was constructed, as well as a new gatehouse and the entire yard was fully landscaped in keeping with the era of the home. Upstairs, a new deck was built and part of the lounge room was extended. Three new sets of stairs were installed, including the internal staircase which features a custom powder coated steel handrail.
